Cecil Moore Duncan, 95, resident of Perkins Lane, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt, Randy Owens, and Mike Kesler officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:00 P.M.

Born April 13, 1922 in Hampshire, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Garfield Duncan and the late Macie Dee Farris Duncan. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1942 – 1945 as a 101st Airborne Engineer and earned four medals. A well-known carpenter and master wood craftsman, Mr. Duncan was a shop foreman for Southern Sash. He was a 50 plus year member of Meriwether Lewis Masonic Lodge #192 and West 7th Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Collins Rieves Duncan of Columbia; daughter, Kathie Duncan Parks of Franklin; son, Tommy (Carolyn) Duncan of Columbia; granddaughters, Angie (Paul) Carpenter of Denver, North Carolina; Priscilla (Carl) Ingrum of Columbia; and Melissa Page (Craig) Duncan; great grandchildren, Madison Ingrum; Miles Duncan; Lexie Duncan; Austin Bryant; Alex Bryant; and Shelby Bryant; sister, Anna Mae Brown of Hampshire; and niece, Sandra (Larry) Church of Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Glen Duncan.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Coduto, Bill Alsup, Mike Pruitt, Larry Church, Scott Davis, Steve Gibbs, Honorary pallbearers include Jeremy Butt, Randy Owens, Mike Kesler, Jerry Elder, Bill and Sharon Alsup, Carl Ingrum, Craig Duncan, Miles Duncan, John Smith, C.T. Johnson, Jerry Oakley, Kent Pardon, Joe Roberson, John Simmons, Jane Wells, Dorothy Witherow, Olivia Whiteside, Cooper Malugin, Ann Phoenix, and Meriwether Lewis Lodge #292 in Hampshire.
